Family Learning is recognised as an early intervention and prevention approach which works in reaching disadvantaged families and communities to help improve their life chances.

With so many partners delivering family learning opportunities across Orkney it is important that we have an understanding of the local context and that we are developing joint approaches in the planning and development of family learning.

A morning workshop on Family Learning has been arranged for Thursday 2 May 2019 in Room 2 Kirkwall Community Centre from 10.00 - 1.00pm which we would like to invite you or a colleague to attend.

This event is designed for partners involved in working with families, to come together to help create a local picture of family learning, to underpin the important role of partners working together in the interests of children, families and young people and to develop joint approaches to addressing local needs and areas of development. Please see the flier attached for further information.

If you or a colleague are available to attend please contact lorna.newton@orkney.gov.uk by Friday 26 April.

Location Kirkwall Town Hall, Room 2
