Scottish Rural Action - Online Forum Volunteer

The main purpose of this volunteer role is to manage and moderate online discussion forums. The online forum is a key medium for SRA to engage with members throughout Scotland and offer an opportunity for members to contribute their thoughts, ideas and issues in online conversation.

Tasks / Description of Role

To manage and moderate online discussion forums

To respond to enquiries received through the forum

To perform general moderator duties e.g. accept new members, flag issues with SRA staff

To contribute to discussions/create discussion topics

Although training will be provided to enable volunteers to do this we particularly welcome volunteers with previous experience of rural affairs, community work, experience in political or social organisations/movements, campaign experience or who live in very rural/remote areas. Particular interest in the issues surrounding rural areas and Land, Business, Digital Connectivity, Transport or Local Governance is also welcome. Experience of online discussion forums would be beneficial.
