Orkney Foodbank issues food parcels to clients who have been referred to them with a foodbank voucher. These parcels contain 3 days food items and, should the referrer decide it is appropriate, clients can have up to a further 2 parcels in a 6 month period. Through the generosity of the Orkney population we are also sometimes able to provide additional items such a toiletries, cleaning products and pet food. Referring agents include Citizens Advice Bureau, GPs, Social Workers, Health Visitors, Home Start and some Third Sector Groups.
