Open 7 days a week April - September, the Orkney Fossil & Heritage Centre has something for everyone! The heritage galleries explore wartime life in Orkney, how the Churchill Barriers were built and feature collections gathered by local people. The geology displays explain how the landscape formed and include 380 million year old fossils from Orkney and around the world. Take a Google Tour on our website! The Heritage Tearoom serves soup and sandwich lunches, delicious cakes, and hot specials at weekends. The Gift Shop includes specialist books, Orkney music CDs, a great selection of locally made crafts and much more.
