The Orkney British Red Cross provides support at home, transport and mobility aids to help people when they face a crisis in their daily lives.

Community Energy Scotland provides support for communities in green energy development and energy conservation.

Stromness and Parish Eventide Club operates from the Harbours Authority building at Stromness Pierhead. A small committee sees to the insurance, heating and cleaning of the room.

Stromness Community Development Trust (SCDT) was incorporated on 20th July 2006 as a company limited by guarantee.

The company aims to provide accessible transport to everyone living working in and visiting Orkney.
