The Birsay Community Association run and manage the local community hall in Birsay.

The Orkney British Red Cross provides support at home, transport and mobility aids to help people when they face a crisis in their daily lives.

Marie Curie offers support at the end of life for any illness at home. The support telephone number is 0800 090 2309. Ask your GP Practice or District nurse for a referral.

The Orkney Youth Cafe is a drop in service funded by various grants and charities. We are currently funded by BBC Children in Need & Robertsons Trust.

If you need someone to talk to we listen. Samaritans don't judge and we won't tell you what to do, whatever you are going through you can phone us day or night from any phone for free.

We began our journey to form a community group of Handbell Ringers in September 2017. We play classical, modern, sacred and secular music.

The Adult Befriending Service aim is to help people over the age of 60 remain in their own homes independently for longer by having a Befriender visit you or by group befriending.
