There are lots of different reasons why a group or organisation might choose to close down and just like when you are setting up, there are decisions to make and steps to follow. We can guide you through these processes and help you make sure you have covered everything you need to.

What you have to do when you close down your group or organisation is determined by a number of factors. These can be very specific to the group or organisation. For example, if it is registered with the Office for Scottish Charities Regulator (OSCR) you must ask for their consent to shut down.

How we can help

You can find information about what you need to do in your governing document. It will tell you what you have do with any assets that belong to the group or organisation. We can help you work out how to deal with these processes and give you the confidence that you have taken care of everything.

Contact us using the form at the bottom of the page and we will arrange a time to talk through your needs in more detail.
