Ambassador Volunteer

Are you able to help us raise awareness of Asthma + Lung UK and our work to promote lung health in your local community? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

The ambassador volunteers champion the charity and help us connect with individuals, communities, businesses or healthcare professionals. In this role you could make positive difference either by sharing our campaigns and petitions online or by delivering in-person events and talks to inspire people to get involved with what we do. The hours are flexible depending on your availability and you can choose to focus on raising awareness with local communities, health providers or schools.

We will provide volunteer induction and role specific training, resources, a direct team contact, and we’ll refund all reasonable out-of-pocket expenses incurred while volunteering. Please note that if you decide to raise awareness in schools a DBS check will be required, and we can support you and cover any incurred costs for this.

Travel details

The opportunity is available for both online and in-person community based volunteering. Volunteer might be invited to attend in-person events or visits in which case travel expenses incurred during volunteering will be reimbursed.

Training details

In addition to the Induction training, there will be the possibility to join role specific training and Lung Health Awareness training. All sessions are accessible online.

Frequency & commitment

The times are flexible and Ambassadors make their own schedule, we recommend that the volunteers complete at least one task or activity per month.
