Clan Cancer Support is hosting a volunteering open day in Orkney.
The charity is currently seeking volunteers to offer its vital listening and support service which enables people impacted by a diagnosis to speak to someone about their cancer journey.
No experience is required to volunteer with Clan and all training is provided by the charity. They recommend that volunteers commit to a minimum of 3.5 hours per week. There are also further opportunities for those looking to get involved in fundraising events, including the charity’s Midnight Walk which is planned for June this year.
Anyone interested in volunteering is welcome to drop in during the open day with Clan team members on hand to advise anyone interested in applying.
