Orkney Dance & Fitness have organised a dance event as part of the national Lets Dance campaign.
The campaign aims to inspire everyone in the UK to embrace dance as a way to improve their health, connect with others, and have fun. Founded by Angela Rippon CBE, it is supported by leading organisations including the Sport and Recreation Alliance, NHS, and Parkinson’s UK. Their mission is to get more people dancing together, regardless of age, fitness level, or experience.
On Sunday Orkney Dance & Fitness will have a variety of styles on offer from ballet to line dancing, from Zumba to a ceilidh. Teachers from around Orkney will coming together to deliver this 2 hour community event at Orphir Community Centre. It is free to attend with the option to donate at the door to cover hire costs. Any additional money raised will be donated to Soma's Light SCIO. Liam McArthur MSP will also be joining everyone there too.
