Disclosure Scotland are changing their processes following the Disclosure Scotland Act (2020), including the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership.
From 1 April 2025 the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme becomes a legal requirement in Scotland. The concept of 'regulated work' is also being replaced with ‘regulated roles’, to make it more easily understood, and to help define whether PVG scheme membership is required when working or volunteering with children and/or protected adults.
