Trustees’ Week is an annual event to showcase the great work that trustees do and highlight opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference.

To celebrate the amazing work being done in Orkney, we will be updating this section daily to highlight some of our amazing Trustees'. We will also be sharing useful information as well as help and advice.

Day 5:

Our Volunteer Development Worker Sam Stringer looks at the roles and responsibilities of a voluntary trustee in Lines of Duty. Day 2:

Today our Trustee Top 10 comes from Ray Kemp who is a trustee with the Peedie Kirk United Reformed Church, the 1st Kirkwall Company Boy's Brigade & The Orkney Foodbank. VAO Finance Worker, Davie Campbell, also offers some good governance guidance with Seven Tips for Top Trustees.

Our Community Development Worker Clare Gee reflects on how trustees have been adapting during the pandemic and what a ‘new normal’ might look like as organisations re-open and re-engage in From Lockdown to Open Doors.
