The ‘Worrying About Money?’ leaflet for Orkney, developed by Independent Food Aid Network, Orkney Citizen’s Advice Bureau, Social Security Scotland and NHS Orkney Public Health with contribution from THAW Orkney, VAO, OIC Scottish Welfare Fund, Orkney Blide Trust and NHS Grampian Psychological Support Hub is now available for FREE.
Based on learning from Scotland's A Menu for Change project, the 'Worrying about Money?' guide is designed to help people experiencing financial insecurity, and those supporting them, to easily identify and access appropriate financial support and advice.
It is a step-by-step guide that:
- Starts with the financial problems someone might be facing
- Explains the options available to them
- Includes contact information for who can help in each situation
The aim of this resource is to reduce the need for emergency food aid by helping people access any existing financial entitlements and advice on income maximisation.
