Orkney Arts Society is a registered Scottish charity. It is a membership body entirely run by a committee of volunteers. Founded in 1978, its mission is to promote and encourage the study, enjoyment, practice, and knowledge of the Arts in Orkney. Its core activity is to organise a programme of music, literature, drama and visual arts events from September through to the following April, held in the Orkney Mainland.
