The Dounby carpet bowlers are a part of the Dounby Centre activities that meet on Wednesday nights throughout the winter months. A group of 15 -25 or just whoever turns up on the night.

Upkeeping Orkney's story telling heritage.

Orkney Arts Society is a registered Scottish charity and is run by a full committee of volunteers.

OTDA are a volunteer group who hold dance events in Orkney including weekly evenings with a tutor and live band. We organize Orkney Ceilidh Weekend which is held each April.

The OWMAS organises the West Mainland Ploughing Match, which is held on the second Saturday in February. They also organise the Dounby Show, which is held each year in August in the Showpark, Dounby.

The Papay Community Association organises a range of social events and services on Papa Westray primarily for residents, but also popular with our visitors.

The Papay Co-op is a community-owned organisation that provides and manages key services on Papa Westray, notably the community shop and the island hostel.

Project Linus UK is a volunteer organisation.

The REW DT mission is to improve the quality of life for the islands’ inhabitants of all ages, in ways that are both sustainable and environmentally sound.
