We are a community pipe band offering free tuition for the Highland Bagpipes and Marching drums. We welcome all members of the community from the young to the old. We particularly welcome intermediate and the more experienced payers to join the band. Uniform and instruments are provided. Becoming a member of the band does not require Legion membership and there is no obligation to join. We are an autonomous group who carry the Legion name simply for sponsorship and the ability to take part in legion events throughout Scotland. We provide musical entertainment throughout Orkney and beyond taking part in many annual events within the islands and the occasional trip away. Practice takes place weekly in the Stenness Community School from 7pm until 10pm All are welcome to visit us on our practice night.
