Westray Heritage Trust educates the public in local heritage and other aspects of island life. The Heritage Centre is located in the middle of Pierowall village. Two large exhibition rooms and separate facilities for research are used to display and make available for study, artefacts and archives inclunding photographs and documents of Westray. The high standards achieved are nationally recognised by the awards of Full Museum Accreditation and Four Star Visitor Attraction. The Heritage Centre is open daily during May to September and is more limited or by arrangement at other times.
