Community Councils provide an effective, strong voice within each community area offering sound, local advice on a range of community issues.

A community cottage style garden run by volunteers for the pleasure of local people and visitors.

Burray Community Association works to manage the Burray Community Hall and Burray Family Park, and to support events which bring the community of Burray together.

We are a community run local village hall offering regular events, such as yoga and pilates classes, traditional dancing, jive dancing, table tennis and a film club.

The Hall provides services for the Community. Clubs such as badminton, W.I, Youth Club, Brownies and Guides, Senior Citizens and craft club are held in the Hall.

The community centre provides function rooms including the hall and catering for local charities, clubs and organisations. It can be used for community events, celebrations and funding activities.

We provide activities for the Flotta Community. These include carpet bowls, cards, crafts, kurling and hand chime ringing. There are also monthly clubs for the over 50s and over 60s.

Registered charitable organisation dedicated to the health and wellbeing of the Graemsay community.

We are a community run venue protecting and promoting the heritage of Hoy. We offer cultural events, exhibitions and a community archive.

KGS Sports centre is a state of the art sporting facility for the community of Orkney. The centre can accommodate an extensive range of activities, health and wellbeing and any other events.

Olav's Wood is a magical place, a mixed woodland running by a burn, in South Ronaldsay. It is open to the public and serves as a community woodland.

Orkney Blide Trust provides support to people aged 16 years or over who have or have had mental health problems.

Kirkwall and Stromness libraries have a wide range of books for loan as well as audiobooks, eBooks, eAudio and jigsaws. Free Wi-Fi is available alongside public access PCs.

Orkney Marinas Ltd provides safe and secure pontoon berthing for local and visiting leisure boat users in three locations - Kirkwall Marina, Stromness Marina and Westray Marina.

Organise the Dounby Show and West Mainland Ploughing Match. Other organisations can also hire the showpark to hold events/competitions.

The Orkney Youth Cafe is a drop in service funded by various grants and charities. We are currently funded by BBC Children in Need & Robertsons Trust.

We are a community school (Early Learning and Childcare-Primary 7) operated by Orkney Islands Council.

The Papay Community Association organises a range of social events and services on Papa Westray primarily for residents, but also popular with our visitors.

The Papay Co-op is a community-owned organisation providing key services on Papa Westray, notably the community shop, the island hostel and minibus.

The kirk services are every Sunday starting at 2 pm.The weekly doctors surgery takes place on a Wednesday morning and daily nurse clinic�s are held Monday to Friday.

The Pickaquoy Centre, locally known as 'Picky', is recognised as a first class sports, arts, conference and social facility.
