The Papay Community Association organises a range of social events and services on Papa Westray primarily for residents, but also popular with our visitors. The community wing of the island school has a library, internet and gym, whilst sharing a small sports hall with the school, with access to badminton, table tennis and other games. The association organises a regular series of events, including island dinners, dances, cinema screenings, sketches, bonfires, barbecues and the annual fun weekend. Recent cultural projects have focused on the Great Auk, dialect and dance.
