The Papay Community Association organises a range of social events and services on Papa Westray primarily for residents, but also popular with our visitors. The community wing of the island school has a play park, library, internet and gym, whilst sharing a small sports hall with the school, with access to badminton, table tennis and other games. The association organises a regular series of events, including island dinners, dances, cinema screenings, sketches, bonfires, barbecues and the annual fun weekend. Cultural projects have focused on the Great Auk, dialect, local poetry and dance.
